Bader Tortechnik, a company based in the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan region, has been operating as a full-service provider for the installation of industrial doors since 2006 and employs 12 people. BTT covers the entire range of services from planning to installation and maintenance. After 14 years as managing partner, Mr. Heiko Bader decided that the time had come to sell his company and devote himself to personal projects. Since he had invested a lot of time and effort in building up his company, it was important to him that his life's work be continued and that all employees be taken over by the next owner. During his first business sale, he wanted to have an advisory team by his side that had the required know-how and experience to support and advise him throughout the entire sales process. Due to the professional initial discussions and the experience from successful transactions, Mr Bader chose CARL.


After Mr Bader decided to work with CARL and further discussions took place about Bader's expectations and the process, all the documents required by the company were collected. The next step was for the transaction team to prepare the information memorandum in close consultation with the client. Potential buyers were identified and approached, many of these investors were identified through CARL's technology-based platform. Thus, there was a wide range of interested parties. After the potential buyers were approached, Mr Bader received several offers to buy his company. Following Mr Bader's selection of suitable buyers, management presentations were made and finally due diligence was carried out with the suitable buyer.


Mr. Bader had the opportunity to choose from four offers and was able to decide on the offer that best met his expectations and goals. Through our team, Bader's wishes were fulfilled and at the same time a 30% higher sales price was achieved than initially expected. Bader Tortechnik GmbH was finally sold to the strategic investor Gretsch-Unitas GmbH from near Stuttgart. Bader's wish that the company be continued and that all employees be taken over was fulfilled. After only one year of the sales process, Mr. Bader now has time for things that had been neglected in recent years. For him, the sale of the company was also the right decision in retrospect, as he can now devote himself to personal projects.
