Initial situation

The Geo Net solution group of companies, based in the Saxony region, develops and operates geographic information systems. Its range of services includes the creation of road directories, recording of road conditions, mobile laser scanning, surveying and 3D modeling. State institutions such as ministries for road construction, transport and state development in particular make use of the company's services. The owner turned to his bank advisor at Deutsche Bank for advice on business succession. The latter then recommended CARL as a contact to evaluate sales opportunities and realistic price expectations in detail.

Procedure

As a first step, CARL developed a free indicative business valuation to give the owner a realistic price idea for his company. In January 2022, the owner decided to sell the company and CARL, together with the company consultant Deininger, from CARL's partner consultant network, assisted the owner in the entire process. Deutsche Bank accompanied the transaction and its financing.

Result

Finally, the three companies of the Geo Net solution group were successfully sold to the Deutsche InfraSoft Group from the network of the CARL Connect platform according to the expectations of the owners. The new owners will take over the business as operational successors in the course of a management buy-in and lead it into the future. Deutsche Bank is also supporting the new owners in their plan.
